A couple of new products are launching today that you should check out. The first is Baron Fig's new pencil, The Archer. The guys over at Baron Fig were kind enough to send me some samples, and I'm impressed, especially with the finish. The pencils are a gorgeous, two-toned matte gray, and super comfortable to hold. They remind me of Palomino pencils, with a grippier lacquer and slightly firmer graphite. You can purchase directly from Baron Fig. According to the Baron Fig webpage, they start shipping in two days.
The second project that I understand to be launching soon is the Slice Planner, an extremely interesting Kickstarter project that seeks to bridge the divide between analog and digital planners. Visit the website for a full description, but in short, the Slice Planner is a paper planner that pairs with a smartphone app and allows you to import entries from your paper planner into your electronic calendar. The page layout is similar to the Chronodex, representing your day in "slices" of time. I have a prototype Slice Planner, and I'm excited to try it out and see how it works.
UPDATE: The Slice Planner is live on Kickstarter. Check it out here!
Disclaimer: I was sent prototypes of both products for review purposes, but have not otherwise been compensated for this post.
