A Portrait of the Visconti Van Gogh (via UK Fountain Pens). The Visconti Van Gogh is definitely one of those under-appreciated pens that I’ve grown to love more than any of the other pens in Visconti’s lineup.
My 2018 Ohio Pen Show Haul (via Fountain Pen Follies). It’s never too late to post pictures of your pen show haul!
I Really Wanted to Like the Lamy Imporium (via UK Fountain Pens). I’ve always been curious about this pen as well, for the same reason - the 14k nib - but I’ve not heard good things, also due to the weight and general imbalance.
Sharpie Clear View Highlighter (via Comfortable Shoes Studio). I love wedge-shaped highlighters, both these and the Stabilo Boss highlighters Les references in her post.
Behind the Scenes (via Mountain of Ink). Ever wonder how Kelli reviews so many inks? Check out this quick video.
Retro 51 Tornado Dmitri Mechanical Pencil Review (via Pen Addict). Retro 51 certainly takes a different approach to mechanical pencils than most companies. I picked up a Mechanical Pencil version of Mike Dudek’s “The System” and I’m still testing it out. I actually like it, but if you’re accustomed to a traditional mechanical pencil with thin lead there’s definitely an adjustment period.
The Desk Set: The History of the Open Office (via Well-Appointed Desk). Get yourself a little bit of stationery/office-supply history over what remains of your Thanksgiving weekend! Ana takes us through the history of the cubicle and open-plan offices in general.
An Opportunity (via Fountain Pen Economics). Dr. Deans comes out of semi-retirement to talk about an idea for a blog that he has (which I think is a good one). Also, if anyone’s looking to buy a Montblanc Hemingway….
My Favorite Items from 2018 (So Far). Ed walks us through his favorite things - not just stationery-related items - for 2018. I’m glad to see the Lamy 2000 makes the top of the list.
Chatting About My Pens Part 1: The Visconti’s (via SBRE Brown). Stephen talks about the Visconti pens that remain in his downsized pen collection. It’s great to hear the stories behind everyone’s favorites.

In Case You Missed It….
This week on the blog I had one review: an excellent quality leather notebook cover from The British Belt Company. I took the rest of the week off from reviewing products to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday here in the States, but have made an effort to keep up with the various “Black Friday/Cyber Monday” deals and promotions out there, and published a quick reference guide to what I think are five “steals” on some very nice pens.
Happy Sunday, and as always, thanks for reading!
