Travels with Pens: Austria (via UK Fountain Pens). All right, let's be honest. How many of us spend at least an hour deciding which pens to take on a trip? At least three hours? Four? (Raises hand.)
"Always Listen to Your Mother": I Go to the San Francisco Pen Show (Fountain Pen Follies). Laura posts about her trip to San Francisco, working with Dan at The Nibsmith.
D.C. Pen Show Mini-Haul and Recap (via Owl Ink). Elaine recaps her trip to this year's D.C. Pen Show, and shows off what she brought home. That vintage Parker Jotter is a cool find.
New Fountain Pen Inks Coming from Taccia (via Fountain Pen Follies). I missed these at the D.C. Show, but I've heard only good things.
Baron Fig LE Confidant Wander Dream Journal (via Comfortable Shoes Studio). Les reviews a new special-purpose notebook from Baron Fig, and it looks like they nailed the details on this one.
Ink Review #434: Colorverse 17 Vortex Motion (via Mountain of Ink). This ink is one of those interesting "off-black" colors that has hints of other colors mixed in, in the form of blue and red undertones and sheen.
How to Fill an Opus 88 Fountain Pen (via Pen Chalet). Here's a great little tutorial (including video) on how to fill an Opus 88 Japanese-style eyedropper. If you've been hesitant to pick up one of these great pens because you're unsure of how they work, check out this post. My reviews of the Opus 88 lineup can be found here (Koloro line) and here (PIcnic and Fantasia).
Schon DSGN Clip Pen (via Pencilcase Blog). Dries offers his very thorough take on the Schon DSGN pens, and he might be an even bigger fan than I am.
Kunisawa A5 Find Notebook (via Pen Addict). Susan reviews the Kunisawa A5 notebook, which I'm also currently testing. I've had similar issues with the paper bleeding and showing through with wetter nibs. However, I have found that this particular paper works much better if you use a lighter touch and less pressure. I'll post more once I finish my testing.
Platinum Procyon (via Cronicas Estilografias). Color me intrigued!
Pen & Ink Review: TWSBI Go and Robert Oster Pacific Ocean Teal (via Well-Appointed Desk). I'm all in on the TWSBI's new so-ugly-it's-cute offering at a super-low price point. I'll post my own thoughts soon.
Shop Tales - Part I: By David Pennington (via Ed Jelley). Don't miss this one - it's shaping up to be a fun series on how someone with no experience in the world of writing instruments started working in the pen world.

Paul's Paper & Pens. Paul features a well-curated selection of fountain pens, multi pens, notebooks, and more, including some very uncommon Pilot Vanishing Points and Decimos that we don't see here in the States.
TGS Amazon Page. I run across many more items (pens, pencils, books, accessories, etc.) in my online "travels." I can't feature them all on TGS, but Amazon has an option where I can set up an affiliate page to host product recommendations and earn fees on referrals. Amazon does not sponsor or endorse this blog in any way.
In Case You Missed It...
This week on the blog I reviewed the Classic and Clip collections from Schon DSGN, as well as the Faggionato Petrarque and PKS Fountain Pens. Finally, this week's Deals & Drops announced the arrival of the "Estie," the much-awaited release from Esterbrook following its acquisition by Kenro.
Happy Sunday, and as always, thanks for reading!
