Sailor Ink Studio Overview (100 Inks) (via Macchiato Man). I think Yagan just won the pen internet, at least for ink reviews. I think if you bought this set you would never need any more ink as long as you lived.
The Philly Pen Show 2019: Reflections on Maximizing Your Pen Show Experience (via Inkpothesis). Great advice on how to handle your first pen shows! If you’re preparing for the start of pen show season, this one’s a must-read.
Paper for Fountain Pens Notebook Review (via Writing at Large). Wow, I remember hearing about these notebooks years ago through FPN, but had no idea they were still around.
How to Get Better Shading from Fountain Pen Inks (via Fountain Pen Love). All you need to know about ink shading, and how to maximize the look it gives your handwriting.
Ink Review #562: Parker Penman Sapphire (via Mountain of Ink). Kelli reviews a legendary ink and walks you through some alternatives to this now-discontinued classic. You might be surprised at the alternatives to spending $150 on eBay!
Wing Sung 601A (via Comfortable Shoes Studio). I love Wing Sung pens and their vintage pseudo-knockoff Frankenpen aesthetic. Regardless of how funky the pens sometimes look, they almost always write well for their price point. This pen looks like it’s a bit of a work in progress, however.
Tips on Tidying Stationery: Organizing and Storage (via Wonder Pens). I do not approach anywhere near this level of tidiness or organization. Definitely something to aspire to!
The IG Effect (via Cronicas Estilograficas). More interesting thoughts on Instagram and how “the algorithm” has, in my opinion, really messed things up in terms of being able to follow what your friends are doing. I miss way too much content since IG went out of control with ads and started prioritizing the same types of posts, over and over, ad nauseam. Read Leigh’s original post here.
My Life in Notebooks (via From the Pen Cup). Another aspirational post for me. I only wish I could churn through this much stationery!
Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen Nib Set (via Gourmet Pens). Dear Platinum, please send me one of these to keep on my desk. Thanks!

Amazon does not sponsor or endorse this blog in any way.
In Case You Missed It ….
This week on the blog I reviewed the Montblanc Starwalker rollerball, from Montblanc’s more modern line that doesn’t get a ton of attention. I also revisited one of my favorite pens of all time, the Sailor Professional Gear Imperial Black edition. Finally, don’t miss this week’s Deals & Drops, with some new stuff starting to trickle out into the market for 2019!
