In terms of a timeless everyday carry item that looks great, functions flawlessly, and won’t cost you a ton of money, you can’t go wrong with a Fisher Space Pen. I’ve previously written about how my favorite iterations of this classic pen are the “Shuttle Pen” and the original “Astronaut” version, and that hasn’t changed, other than the fact that new variations are released each year such as this titanium nitride Astronaut pen.
I purchased my Shuttle Pen (pictured) through Amazon, though unfortunately it appears that the black-grid version is no longer available and seems to have been discontinued. It’s been replaced by a gold grid version, and plain chrome is also available. The standard AG7 Astronaut Pen - the one that started it all - is a great alternative to the Shuttle Pen, and it’s available in a few different color options.
