Matthew Martin Fountain Pen Review (via Pen Addict). Matthew Martin is going places, and fast. This is one new penmaker I’m super excited about following as he expands his footprint.
At Last: Reviewing the Desiderata Soubriquet (via UK Fountain Pens). I’m glad to see the Desiderata Soubriquet getting some additional love in the pen blogosphere. Pierre nailed it with this pen.
How to Purchase Fountain Pens on Rakuten Global Market (via Fountain Pen Love). There are many different things to consider when deciding if it makes sense to order a fountain pen from overseas, but the basic logistics often get overlooked, especially where you have to go through sites that might be unfamiliar to many people in the States, like Rakuten.
Colorverse Astrophysics Dark Energy (via Inksharks). To me, Dark Energy is definitely one of the more interesting Colorverse Inks. I enjoy dark reds, and especially this one with its green sheen.
Monday Match-up: A Tale of Two Oranges (via Inkpothesis). Jaclyn takes a look at two great orange inks: Iroshizuku Fuyu-Gaki and Pen Addict Fire on Fire.
Tactile Turn Mover (via Pencilcase Blog). I’m a big fan of Tactile Turn, and the Mover is a great pen. If only mine hadn’t gone “walking off” my desk at work….
The Pen Show Experience (via Nib & Ink). Matthew went and revamped his blog, so my RSS feed didn’t update and I missed his excellent Atlanta Pen Show Recap. It’s not too late to read up!
Mechanical Pen and Pencil by Inventery (via Clicky Post). Mike also takes a look at Inventery’s latest release, and goes into the gritty details of swapping the pen and pencil mechanism. He’s much better at explaining that sort of thing than I am.
Retro 51 Tornado Fountain Pen (via Well-Appointed Desk). I’ve also been favorably impressed by the redesigned Retro 51 Tornado fountain pen, with its revamped section and JoWo No. 6 nibs.
Ajoto Event at Laywine’s in Toronto (via Gourmet Pens). THIS is what you miss by not having a quality pen store in your town! I really regret that I’ve not had the opportunity to experience Ajoto in person, and I may need to pick one up soon.

In Case You Missed It…
This week on the blog, I spotlighted two newly released products: this year’s special edition Chicago Pen Show Inks from Papier Plume, and the Interchangeable Mechanical Pen and Pencil from Inventery. I also published a list-type piece on what are apparently my favorite “Workhorse” fountain pen inks, based on amount used over the past few years.
This week’s Deals & Drops focuses on the new special edition releases from Lamy, and I also revamped the Sponsorship webpage, and included a page devoted to some of my favorite Etsy stores. I try not to over-promote sponsors and affiliates, but it is the only way I support the blog and keep this place running, so please keep this in mind when you decide where/how to feed your addiction!
Happy Sunday, and as always, thanks for reading!
