It’s the San Francisco Pen Show this weekend, and once again I’m unable to make it to the west coast. Maybe next year I’ll do the San Francisco show instead of D.C.? Anyway, there are a bunch of new releases for those attending the SF Pen Show to check out, in addition to all of the socializing and events that will take place. I’ve tried to list a number of them there.
Esterbrook Estie Honeycomb (via Pen Chalet). I had the chance to take a sneek peak at the new “Honeycomb” Estie at the D.C. Show, and it’s a stunner. Available in silver or gold trim.
Galen Leather Products (via Vanness Pens). Galen Leather will be at the San Francisco Pen Show this weekend, including at the Vanness table where Mike and Lisa will have pen cases, zippered portfolios, notebook covers, and more. Check out my recent review of my Galen Leather A5 zippered portfolio here.
Leonardo Momento Zero x Pen Chalet Exclusive Edition (via Pen Chalet). Per Wednesday’s review, Leonardo’s latest special edition releases, in collaboration with Pen Chalet, have struck a chord with me and I can’t recommend them enough, especially the ruthenium trim pens. Check out my recent review of this edition here.
Aolani Fountain Pen (via Kanilea Pen Company). Kanilea will be attending this weekend’s San Francisco Pen Show - their second in a month - and will be bringing their latest release, the Aolani fountain pen.
Sailor Pro Gear Special Edition “Fire” (via Anderson Pens). Sailor has introduced a new round of special edition Pro Gears from their “elements” series. “Fire” is a translucent red orange with gold trim.
Pelikan M205 Star Ruby Special Edition Fountain Pen Set (via Appelboom). Pelikan has released the 2019 M205 fountain pen to match the 2019 Ink of the Year - Star Ruby! I can’t wait for this year’s hub.
Sailor 1911 Large Ringless Epinard (via Nibsmith). People either love or hate the new “ringless” look on the latest Sailor 1911 Large fountain pen. Personally, the color is excellent but I wish it featured all-dark trim.
Graf von Faber-Castell Centenary Fountain Pen for Bentley (via Appelboom). I’m still loving this collaboration between GvFC and Bentley. The Centenary is a great shape.
Vinta Inks (via Vanness Pens). Vinta inks out of the Philippines were a big hit at the D.C. Show earlier this month, and I expect they will be equally as popular in San Francisco.
Penlux Tangerine and Plum Ink (via Nibsmith). Taiwanese pen company Penlux has released two new inks in interesting color choices for an initial release. The inks are apparently manufactured by Sailor, so I’m sure they will sell well.
PenBBS Etsy Store (via PenBBS/Etsy). PenBBS makes some of the highest quality pens I’ve ever used at their price point, and the fact that they have so many different material options makes it a fun place to shop. My personal favorite is the Model 456 vacuum filler.
New Releases from Retro 51 (via Goldspot Pens). Goldspot has the new Fall releases from Retro 51, in both rollerball, pencil, and fountain pens!
Leather Cover for Baron Fig Confidant (via One Star Leather/Etsy). It’s been a while since I’ve featured Keegan and One Star Leather on here, but he still makes some of the best leather notebook covers out there. Check out my review here.
Pilot Razor Point II Super Fine Tip (via Amazon). As I was digging around in my stationery drawers packing up my office, I came across a few of these, and have been using them at work. It’s probably my favorite felt-tip/porous point marker of the disposable variety. Pilot also still makes the original.
Pentel Hi-Polymer Block Eraser (via Amazon). In my opinion, the best block eraser on the market. It doesn’t dry out, and will last forever. I linked to the 36-pack because (1) I think it’s hilarious they sell this, and apparently sell a lot of them; and (2) why not? This would look great on a desk.
