New Orleans is a Pen Destination (via Pen Addict). It certainly is! Be sure to check out Sarah’s travelogue - I’ve been to both Papier Plume and Scriptura. Both are unique, exceptional stores that warrant a trip to New Orleans in and of themselves.
A Short List of Easy Inks (via Inkophile). A great introduction to low-maintenance inks that are more or less guaranteed to not cause problems for you and your pens. Inkophile also has some tips on fountain pen maintenance.
Musubi Oversize Pen Case (via Alt.Haven). I adore Musubi products, and the company’s mission makes it easy to feel good about your purchase. I acquired one of these pen cases back in November. Look for a review sometime in the future.
Lamy Studio Terracotta (via Writing at Large). I don’t mind the metal grip on the Lamy Studio, but some people can’t stand it. As such, it’s probably a “try before you buy” pen.
Midori MD Notebook Review (via Fountain Pen Love). The Midori MD Notebook is a personal favorite, and this paper finds its way into my regular rotation along with Baron Fig and Tomoe River.
Travels with Pens: Prepping for Miami - and a Few Fabulous New Arrivals. I’m a big time fan of the Faber-Castell e-Motion. It definitely punches well above its weight, and has earned a more or less permanent place on my soon-to-be-updated “Best Pens” list.
Birmingham Pen Company Tarnished Nickel Fountain Pen Ink (via Comfortable Shoes Studio). Birmingham Pen Company has been garnering some rave reviews, and I’m going to need to check them out sooner or later. I love odd off-color blacks and grays.
Colorverse Hayabusa Ink Review and Giveaway (via Pen Chalet). Hayabusa is a GREAT purple, and Pen Chalet is giving away a bottle. Don’t miss your chance to get in on this one, with less than a day to go.
Old But New to Me: 1970s Montblanc 149 (via Pen Addict). Meet Walter, Susan’s new friend. I’m on the hunt for my own 149 with an ebonite feed. Gotta think of a name, though.
Eye Candy: Pelikan Star Ruby (via Well-Appointed Desk). I don’t think I’ll be able to resist this one. I did indeed miss out on Tourmaline.

TGS Amazon Page. I run across many more items (pens, pencils, books, accessories, etc.) in my online "travels." I can't feature them all on TGS, but Amazon has an option where I can set up an affiliate page to host product recommendations and earn fees on referrals. Amazon does not sponsor or endorse this blog in any way.
In Case You Missed It….
This past week on the blog, I reviewed two new Taccia inks: Ebi (Purple Red) and Uguisu (Olive Green). This week’s Deals & Drops featured some items I would be looking for in Atlanta, and I have an absolutely massive Atlanta Pen Show recap coming this week, so stay tuned!
Happy Sunday, and thanks for reading!
