Yamamoto Ro-Biki Notebooks (Standard Size)
Yamamoto Ro-Biki Notebooks (Standard Size)
The Yamamoto Paper Ro-Biki Note notebooks are best known for their wax paper covers, which actually develop patina over time. In other words, the more you use the notebook, the more crumples and scratches it gets. Yamamoto carefully selected a special paper for this product, which I’ve seen alternately identified as “New Chiffon Cream” or “Soliste”. (I personally think it writes like Soliste, but either way it’s wonderfully fountain pen friendly, with a soft texture.)
Yamamoto Paper uses a thread stitch binding that increases bookbinding strength, allowing you to fold the notebooks back as necessary. These refills measure 91×210mm(8.3x3.5in), which is a narrow A5 slightly narrower than Traveler’s Company refills, making them portable and convenient to write on, especially for those of us who journal and take notes in list format.
Formats include a 5mm Reticle, a 4.5mm Reticle/Grid, a 2mm Grid, 6mm Ruled, and Plain paper.
