An icon of Bauhaus-inspired and industrial design, Heidelberg, Germany-based Lamy has been manufacturing pens since 1930. In addition to the Lamy 2000, which I will long defend as the greatest fountain pen ever made, Lamy is the maker of a favorite entry-level model, the Lamy Safari, as well as many other workhorse writers.
