Lamy Studio LX All-Black Pens (Fountain, Rollerball, and Ballpoint)

from $103.20

The Lamy Studio is one of the more underrated fountain pens on the market. The signature design touch on the Studio is the “propeller clip” that forms part of the overall Bauhaus-inspired aesthetic, designed by Hannes Wettstein. Matching rollerball and ballpoint options allow you to complete the set.

The matte black finish on the LX (“luxe”) trim gives this pen exceptional feel, and the round matte-coated metal section offers a comfortable writing grip and balance in the hand. The friction-fit cap is lightweight and posts well. This particular version of the Studio ships with a black Lamy steel nib installed, and will accept any of the same Lamy nibs as the Safari and AL-Star series. (Note: I swapped out the standard black steel nib on mine for the black Lamy Cursive nib, which I can install for you if you purchase separately and make the request.)

The Lamy Studio fountain pen includes a Lamy ink converter and one Lamy cartridge so you can either fill from an ink bottle or pop in the cartridge and get writing immediately. Extra-fine, fine, medium, and broad nib sizes currently available. The rollerball and ballpoint pens each include one installed Lamy refill.

Made in Germany.
