With this particular fountain pen, you unscrew the grip section and fill the pen directly into the barrel, which features a valve mechanism that you can open and close using the “piston rod” operated by the blind cap at the back. It’s much less complicated that it sounds, and Opus 8 fountain pens hold a large volume of ink, are great for travel, and are easy to clean.
