New Arrivals: Kaweco Is Back, Along with More Roterfaden TGS_25 Covers!

Last week we received a large shipment from Kaweco, including Classic Sport, Collection Sport, Metal Sport, and Liliput Fountain Pens. Many of you have requested additional stock of the stainless steel, brass, and copper pens, and we listened! Personally, I’m most excited about the Liliput Kolibri (German for “Hummingbird”), which applies a rainbow anodized finish to both the stainless steel body and the nib. We are also restocked on Kaweco bottled inks, as well as the “Sketch-up” Clutch Pencils in all finishes.

TGS_25 Roterfaden Taschenbegleiters Return!

We have restocked the green leather version of our A5 Slim exclusive model in dark green, with both green and grey elastic options. While we will plan to bring available stock to the Arkansas Pen Show and San Francisco Stationery Fest later this month, we cannot guarantee availability, so if you are interested in this please do not wait. We will have stock available in the Nashville shop during normal hours later this week. Thursday Drops: Fun California Pen Show Finds from Galen Leather, the Blackwing Pen, a Massive Kaweco Restock and More!

Returning from the California Pen Show, we arrived to find a massive stack of packages waiting for us, including a large restock from Kaweco that contained Kaweco Collection Sports (including Honey and Apricot Pearl!), Brass, Steel, Bronze, and Titanium metal pens, and more piston fillers! The entire line was essentially restocked, so be sure to check out all of our Kaweco offerings, including the Sketch-up Clutch Pencils! (If you recall, we did this eternally popular YouTube video a while back showing how you can use this as both a clutch pencil and a Kakimori nib holder.) We also received a large shipment from Portuguese pencil manufacturer Viarco, including the popular spring pencil caps!

The new Blackwing Pen has landed, and is available both in-store and online.

Other new arrivals traveled home with us from Los Angeles, including Galen Leather products (the wood pen holders), more Laurette’s knurled ebonite ballpoints, and new Musette tote bags from Rickshaw Bagworks to complement the rest of our “Clouds” series of exclusive editions.

We are back to normal Nashville shop hours this week, open from 1-6pm Thursday and Friday, and from 10am-6pm on Saturday. I look forward to being back behind my own counter after a week of pen show time!

1. Galen Leather Mahogany Pen Stands. You all asked for them, and now they’re here! This mahogany 3-pen rest has been featured in TGS reviews for the better part of 10 years, and I’m thrilled to be an authorized Galen retailer with the ability to stock them.

2. Blackwing Pen. The latest release from Blackwing is…a pen? Featuring a unique half-moon rollstop design, a smooth knock, and a Schmidt refill, there’s always room in my kit for a good capless rollerball.

3. Laurett’s Waka Ebonite Ballpoint Pens. These pens are machined from ebonite by Laurette’s, a Japanese company known for their ultra-fine knurling technique that they have used on parts they manufacture for automotive companies.

4. Rickshaw Bagworks Musette Tote Bag. When I asked Rickshaw for a recommendation for a new addition to the “Clouds” series for pen show season, they recommended the Musette, a classic tote with a strap long enough to be worn cross-body, making it useful for pen shows and other crowded events.

5. Kaweco Collection Sport Fountain Pens (Yes, Including Honey Yellow!). Honey was by far the most popular Kaweco color of the past two years, and we’re thrilled to have a restock. We also have more Mellow Blue, Apricot Pearl, Cyan and Teal.

6. Rickshaw Bagworks T.G.S. Exclusive “Clouds” Fillmore Cases. We’ve restocked our supply of Fillmore cases with the 3+3 layout that allows you to store pens on both sides and open the case flat to use as a tray on your desk.

7. Roterfaden TGS_25 Taschenbegleiter (Pre-Order). I’ve been inundated with messages regarding Roterfaden restocks - specifically the TGS25, and I can report that we should have a new shipment in the next week or so. If you would like to reserve one there is a pre-order opportunity for green Taschenbegleiters with green or grey cords.

8. Blackwing Pencil Clip. The latest addition to Blackwing’s line of pencil accessories is designed to fit a Blackwing and most other woodcase pencils, this clip will attach to notebooks, standard books, pads, or anywhere else you need to rest your pencil while working.

9. Viarco Pencil Caps. These sold out super fast last time but we ended up with a huge restock prior to the California Pen Show! We have the boxes of eight caps as well as larger quantities available for purchase.

10. Viarco Vintage Pencil Series. We have a fresh shipment of Viarco Pencils from Portugal, including the popular Lapis copying pencils.

New Arrivals: More Index Cards, and Introducing Notsu Dot Grid Sticky Notes!

We’re back from the 2026 California Pen Show, and happy to report that one of our favorite product lines, Notsu notecards, were a hit! These ink-friendly index cards come in a wide range of formats and sizes (including new 4x6 To Do Cards) and Notsu has recently introduced a line of dot grid sticky notes as well. We’ve also received a shipment of new Rite-in-the-Rain index cards, for those who need weatherproof paper or just want more durable index cards that will withstand spills. Index cards are a core category for us and we’ll continue to bring in as many different varieties as possible!

ROTERFADEN UPDATE: I received notification this morning that we have a shipment of Roterfaden TGS_25 Taschenbegleiters in the green leather that are set to leave Germany this week. I have made a number of them available for pre-order on the site for those who have expressed interest and would like to reserve one. Please note that any additional items placed in the same order will ship with the Taschenbegleiters when they arrive, probably within two weeks but customs delays can be unpredictable so a time frame is not guaranteed. We do have one grey TGS_25 with a green cord that is available for immediate shipment. 

Normal shipping times and store hours will resume this week! All orders placed while we were in California should ship in the next day or two, and we will return to normal store hours (1-6pm Thursday and Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturday).

Thursday Drops: California Pen Show Edition! And A Weekend Special!

I’m attending the California Pen Show this weekend (Friday-Sunday), so if you’re in the Los Angeles area and want to visit our table, please come by! We’ve brought an array of goods from brands such as Lochby, Rickshaw Bagworks, some limited Roterfadens, Craft Design Technology, Notsu, Musgrave, and more. We typically do a pen show special promotion whenever we’re away, and this weekend is no exception. For those who can’t attend in person, pretty much everything we’ve brought to the California Pen Show is available in our online shop, and our Nashville store will remain open with modified hours from 1-5pm on Friday and 11-4pm on Saturday. Online orders will continue to be processed but may take and extra 1-2 days to ship beyond our usual timeframe.

1. Lamy AL-Stars in Pine and Flamingo. We continue to have stock of Lamy’s latest AL-Star release in Pine and Flamingo, in all of the various formats. These are great-looking AL-Stars, with monochromatic clips and sections.

2. TWSBI ECO Black and Marble Bronze Fountain Pens. TWSBI’s latest release continues a hot streak of bronze-trimmed fountain pens with the swirled acrylic. We have stock of most nib-sizes both in-store and online.

3. Life Noble Note 6-Ring Refills. Life’s Noble Note looseleaf paper now comes in 6-ring binder format, in A5, Bible, and Mini (6 hole) sizes and graph, lined, and blank variations.

4. Yamamoto Select A4 Looseleaf Sheets. We have a wide variety of Yamamoto looseleaf papers in stock, including the much-in-demand Canopus paper.

5. Graphilo A5 Slim Notebooks. Customers have been asking for a thicker A5-slim notebook that will fit the TGS_25 Taschenbegleiter. One of the best I have found has been this Graphilo notebook that has incredibly ink-friendly paper plus a high page count.

6. Rickshaw Bags “Cloud” Series. We recently expanded our exclusive collaboration with Rickshaw Bagworks and local artist Nick Dominguez, introducing pen rolls in addition to the zippered cases. If you’re at the California Show, come by this weekend and check out yet another piece that we’re introducing to the lineup (especially if you’ll be needing more storage to carry around your purchases).

7. Craft Design Technology Desk Note Notebooks. Speaking of unique ink-friendly notebooks from Japan, these CDT notebooks feature bagasse paper (made from a sugarcane processing byproduct), and are bound in a landscape-style layout designed to sit underneath a keyboard while you work.

8. Notsu Dot Grid Sticky Notes. Though known for their notecards, Notsu also makes an array of excellent functional paper products. These thicker sticky notes hold up well with most inks.

9. Notsu Dot Grid Notecards and Accessories. We have a restock of Notsu dot grid notecards with the rounded corners in the most-popular 3x5 size, as well as most Notsu card boxes and accessories.

10. Notsu Vertical “To Do” Notecards. Notsu recently introduced a larger-format vertical “To Do” notecard with 4x6 dimensions, for those who need a larger canvas to plan their day.

New Arrivals: Pilot Custom 74 Lavender Fog Second Shipment!

Our second shipment of Pilot’s latest North American exclusive release, the Pilot Custom 74 in “Lavender Fog,” has arrived! As of the date of this post, we currently still have stock of all four specialty nibs: soft fine, soft medium, soft fine-medium, and double broad. Typically these nibs are not available on the Custom 74 fountain pen in the U.S., and we’re lucky to get them in this gorgeous light purple color! To read more about Pilot “soft” nibs and what that designation means, check out this blog post that I wrote just after these pens first arrived in October. (“Soft” doesn’t mean “flex”!)

Please note that this weekend we are attending the California Pen Show! As such, we have modified store hours: Our Nashville Shop will be closed on Thursday 2/19, and will be open Friday 2/20 from 1-5pm, and on Saturday 2/21 from 11am-4pm.
